Illuminating Lives through Music

Season 19 Strategic Campaign

Objective

The objective of our season 19 strategic campaign, entitled “Illuminating Lives Through Music,” is to ensure the longevity of the St. Louis Church Concert Series into the 20th season and beyond. Reaching nearly 1,500 audience members each season, the Concert Series is committed to providing access to affordable concerts in our community and beyond. By increasing our community partnerships, enhancing our promotional efforts, and securing sustainable funding, we aim to enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of our community, attract diverse audiences, and provide a platform for talented musicians. This campaign will highlight the transformative power of music and strengthen the Concert Series’ role as a cherished St. Louis and Howard County tradition.

Our Goal

Through the “Illuminating Lives through Music” campaign, we aim to raise $65,000 to ensure the continued success and growth of the St. Louis Church Concert Series. This funding will support our current season's vibrant lineup, prepare for a spectacular 20th anniversary season next year, and lay the foundation for many more seasons of inspiring performances. Your contributions will help us sustain and expand our mission to bring the joy of music to the community, enrich lives, and create unforgettable experiences for our audiences for years to come. Together, we can light the way to a bright future for the arts.

Our Impact

The St. Louis Church Concert Series is more than just a collection of performances; it is a celebration of community and a powerful vehicle for positive change. Through music, we connect, inspire, and support those in need, fostering a sense of unity and compassion within our community.

Each season, we are proud to partner with so many wonderful community organizations including Howard Community College’s Fueling Dragons Food Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s Head Start Program, and The Baltimore Station to collect donation items of food, clothing, and personal care items to contribute to their missions. Additionally, we are dedicated to nurturing and promoting local talent, and we believe in the importance of providing a platform for artists within our community to showcase their talents and share their passion for music.

Ways to Give

ONE TIME DONATIONS

One-time donations are a vital component of our strategic campaign. These contributions provide immediate support, enabling us to cover essential expenses, such as artist fees, venue maintenance, and promotional activities. Each donation directly impacts our ability to sustain the St. Louis Church Concert Series and ensure its continuation into the 20th season and beyond. Consider sponsoring a musician for our annual Christmas at St. Louis Concert or one of the many guest soloists joining us this season.

RECURRING DONATIONS

Recurring donations offer a reliable stream of income, allowing for better financial planning and stability. By committing to monthly or annual contributions, donors help us maintain a steady flow of resources, ensuring ongoing support for our concerts and outreach programs. This consistent funding is crucial for the long-term sustainability of our series, helping us to nurture and grow our musical offerings.

SPONSORSHIP

Beyond sponsoring the musicians this season, consider sponsoring a post-concert reception, sponsoring a concert, or participating in a matching donation program. Your investment in the Concert Series is an investment in sharing these outstanding programs with the local community and in building its cultural vibrancy.  Equally important, your sponsorship also ensures the success of our outreach initiatives.

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) provide an advantageous way for patrons aged 70½ or older to donate directly from their IRAs. These distributions not only support the St. Louis Church Concert Series but also offer potential tax benefits to the donor. QCDs play a significant role in securing substantial gifts that can have a lasting impact on our campaign, aiding in the preservation and expansion of our musical programs.
